Knoverfen

Image
The Mysterious Figure Sailors that pass the island of the Bone Hills claim it is haunted by a lone figure pale as the hills, with antlers like a deer.  He is spotted along the shore looking over the water, longingly toward the mainland.  Rumors state that this figure is Knoverfen, the last immortal being of the island.  Sailors never venture onto the island in fear of being turned to bone by him.  He is blamed for being the creator of the carvers.  Supposedly he steals the hearts of innocent people and replaces them with bone, which morphs the victim into a human heart craving monster.   Origins Knoverfen is seen as a figure of decay, as he was the cause of the Death of the Hills, the event that turned the Living Hills into the Bone Hills and killed all of the Hills' inhabitants.  He effectively ended an era of peace and near immortality within the Living Hills when he managed to murder another man and bury him within the Hills.  Kno...

There Are Carvers in Crostrunn

Image
“For the last time, there are no carvers in Crostrunn,” The officer gave the reporter a stern glare; that would be her final warning.   Behind him, other officers worked away investigating the gruesome scene at the end of the railway station.  The many lines of police tape obscured some vision, but the reporter could still see enough to know the officer was lying.  Along with the lanky, pale figure that had been slain by the officers just moments ago, there was a crumpled, bloody mess of a man with his chest torn open.   Though she could not see into the man’s wound, the reporter knew what the officers did.  The man’s heart was gone.  That was the standard for carver attacks.  No matter how hard the city watch tried to cover it up, there was no denying there was a carver problem in Crostrunn.  Typically, carvers made their move at night.  They were smart enough to not get caught.  There was still some humanit...

The Library

Image
The Library is a massive tower West of the City of Hopeful Green.  It houses many magical artifacts, as well as all written history, literature, and non-fiction works.  The Library is under strict security, with next to no humans allowed in or out of the building.  The few exceptions include the official Library Trading Crew, Library Assistants, and Ravens' Watchers.  The Library is accessible via the Library Special Access Rail, which runs above the canopy of the Floral Forest.  The top of the Library is home to two giant sentient ravens known as  The Librarians , they are the overseers of the Library and all of its content.  They are paranoid that because of humans' relative stupidity, they would lose any items lent outside of the building.  It is because of this that there is restricted access.

The High Forest

The High forest is located South East of Kavros, and is the main factor which limits the construction of the violet rail.  The trees of the High forest are so densely packed, passage in any method other than foot is near impossible.

Urugrel

Image
To the other city-states, Urugrel is known primarily as the mining city. Its nearness to the Mountainous Divide has certainly helped the city acquire a surplus of stone to export. Urugrel is solely responsible for digging the railway tunnel through the Mountainous Divide, and for their contributions, Crostrunn and Durmara have agreed to pay them a portion of their trades as thanks. Urugrel is also heavily focused on farming. For some reason, many great authors have come out of Urugrel. Because of this a literature museum has been in construction for years, but some mysterious group's sabotage has halted the progress constantly.
