Durmara

"I find that here in Durmara, the people are much like the sun.  They bring such life and bright, happy times.  They bring me my inspiration."  --Sarrem Drylhas, Durmari artist

This desert city has the heaviest influence from the Tseth nomads and their culture. Durmara is home to the most active Tseth temples on the whole continent. Even human inhabitants of the city have a tendency to follow some aspects of Tseth religion, which is especially evident in Durmari art which tends to focus its subjects on the sun and the colors yellow and red. The city's territory expands off the mainland to the island of Hulla, which houses some of the richest residents of Durmara, as well as some of the poorest. Durmara still has yet to build proper ports, and so they rely primarily on trade via railway.

History

Durmara is the second oldest city-state of Levianara, it is located at the north of the Eastern Desert. The city-state consists of mainland Durmara and its island territory, Hulla.  Throughout time it has remained the strongest held city-state, having never suffered great losses from the attacks of other territories.  For almost a hundred years, Sellenity sought to conquer Durmara because of its gold and its proximity to the Eastern River.
